Sammy Schwind

Sammy is originally from Cambridge in the UK and now based in Hawkes Bay.

I began taking photographs of family and friends, at weddings and parties. Everyone kept saying what a great eye I had and all wanted copies of what I took! For as long as I can remember, my camera was never too far from me. Over 15 years I learnt a lot from behind the scenes whilst working for Channel 4 Television in London - all be it from a video camera!

I have always had an enormous passion and interest in photography. I strive to take photos as subtly as possible, allowing my clients to be as relaxed as possible without being in their face.

Being able to capture a child smiling or laughing, a couple giving each other that special glance, friends socialising or to grab that moment which can be recorded but never repeated... I feel that is what photography is all about.

I am offering a family photo package whereby I charge no sitting fee. I feel that it is up to me to capture your family and will only charge for the photos that you order at the end. Please contact me to discuss any requirements that you may have.

My website is currently being updated and thumbnails have become blurred. Please note that once opened up they become sharp. I am in the process of recitifying this!
